문화체육관광부(장관 유인촌)와 한국콘텐츠진흥원(원장직무대행 유현석, 이하 콘진원)이 K-콘텐츠의 해외 수출 확대를 위해 지난 9월 9~12일 나흘간 인도 뉴델리에서 ‘2024 K-콘텐츠 엑스포 in 인도’를 개최했다.
K-콘텐츠 엑스포는 국내 우수 콘텐츠 기업의 해외 진출 및 수출 판로 확대를 지원하는 수출 상담 행사다. 강한 내수시장으로 진출이 어려웠던 인도에 방송, 게임, 애니메이션·캐릭터, 만화 등 우수한 K-콘텐츠를 선보이고, 코로나19 이후 인도 내 영향력이 크게 증가한 미디어 엔터테인먼트 산업 진출 가능성을 엿보고자 올해 처음 인도에서 열렸다.
수출상담 405건, 상담액 2,116만달러, 업무협약 16건 체결 등 성과
이번 행사에는 CJ ENM, KBS미디어, 문화방송, 스튜디오에스, 하이브 등 국내 우수 콘텐츠기업 29개사가 참여했다. 이들 기업은 인도 내 주요 바이어 74개사와 수출 상담을 진행하며 해외 진출 및 비즈니스 협력관계 구축을 모색했다.
행사 기간 중 진행된 콘텐츠 수출상담회에서는 총 405건의 상담이 진행됐으며, 그 결과 2,116만 달러(한화 약 294억 원*) 규모의 상담액을 기록했다. 또한 엑세스코리아-윈터베리 드림스페이스(Winterberry Dreamspace), 큐티즈-카리나 소프트랩스(Carina Softlabs), 오로라월드-이나두 텔레비전(Eenadu Television),

행사 현장에서는 현지 법률 컨설팅, 콘텐츠 피칭, 네트워킹 리셉션 등 다양한 프로그램을 진행하며 기업의 역량을 강화하고, 국내 기업과 해외 바이어 간 네트워크를 형성했다. 우선 법률 컨설팅에서는 현지 로펌을 통해 섭외한 변호사와 함께 인도 진출 시 필요한 법률 정보를 체크하고, 기업별 상세 컨설팅을 제공했다. 특히 바이어를 대상으로 진행하는 콘텐츠 피칭 세션에는 17개사가 참여해 대표 작품을 소개하며 K-콘텐츠의 경쟁력을 입증하는 시간을 가졌다.
