버튜버 엔터테인먼트를 운영하는 스콘(대표 기준수)이 에스비파트너스로부터 5억 원의 추가 투자를 유치했다. 이번 투자유치는 지난 8월 쿼드벤처스로부터 10억원 투자한 지 약 4개월 만으로, 스콘은 이번 투자유치를 포함하여 총 15억원으로 프리A 라운드를 진행 중이다.
스콘은 루리웹닷컴 버튜버 ‘남궁루리’와 ‘빙그레우스’ 왕자의 3D모델링 및 버튜버 솔루션을 공급한 바 있다. 또한 크래프톤, 삼성증권 등 다양한 분야의 기업들과 협업하며 기술력을 입증해 성장을 이어 가고있다.
특히 올초 자체 모션캡쳐 스튜디오를 구축 및 국내 버튜버 그룹 미츄(meechu)를 운영하여 지난 달 버튜버IP를 통한 누적 매출 1억원을 돌파했다. 그리고 소속 버튜버 대월향(유튜브 구독자 약 100만명)이 이끌고 있는 글로벌 버튜버 그룹 블루점프 프로젝트는 호주 버튜버 리리안과 일본 버튜버 나인틴을 11월에 데뷔시키며 글로벌 마켓에도 진출 중이다. 
스콘은 이번 투자금을 통해 소속 버튜버 성장지원, K-POP 버츄얼 아이돌 그룹 육성, 글로벌 버튜버 모집 등 본격적으로 엔터테인먼트 시장과 해외시장 진출에 집중할 계획이다.
스콘 기준수 대표는 “기존 광고영업 중심의 MCN과는 다르게 초기 캐릭터 디자인부터 참여하여 버튜버 성장을 함께 고민하는 버튜버 전문 엔터테인먼트 기업으로 발전하고 싶다”고 전하며 “스콘와 함께 새로운 매력으로 더 많은 팬들에게 다가가고자 하는 버튜버 분들을 끊임없이 발굴해 나갈 예정이다“고 밝혔다.
한편, 스콘은 22명의 버튜버와 계약해 15명이 활동 중이며, 오는 12월 2일에 킨텍스에서 열리는 AGF행사에서 소속 버튜버 10명이 참가하는 릴레이 1:1 팬사인회를 통해 팬들과 만날 예정이다.
