애슬레저룩 인기, 스포츠 언더웨어 여성 10명 중 6명이 입는다

스포츠 언더웨어를 입는 이유 1위 기능성, 안 입는 이유 1위 압박감과 불편함

설 연휴가 지나고 새로운 다짐으로 운동을 1순위로 꼽은 이들이 많을 것이다. 명절 기간 동안 기름진 음식과 과음, 과식 등으로 연초 세웠던 건강관리 계획도 무너지기 마련. 신체 리듬이 깨지면 면역력이 떨어지고 각종 질환에도 노출되기 쉽다.

이 같은 명절증후군 타파를 위해 운동에 관심이 높아지는 요즘, 글로벌 언더웨어 전문기업 엠코르셋(대표 김계현)이 원더브라 페이스북 채널을 통해 남녀 745명을 대상으로 ‘스포츠 언더웨어 착용실태 및 선택기준’에 관한 설문을 진행했다.

설문에 따르면 새해 들어 일주일에 1번 이상 운동을 하는 비율이 설문 참여 자 중 73%로 높게 나타났다. 또한 운동 시 응답자의 58%가 일반 속옷이 아닌 스포츠 언더웨어를 착용하는 것으로 응답했다.

그리고 해당 문항에서 남녀 별 인식 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 남자는 스포츠 언더웨어를 안 입는 비율이 52%로 입는다는 비율보다 4% 정도 높았으나, 반면에 여자는 스포츠 언더웨어를 입는 비율이 60%로 안 입는 비율보다 20% 높게 응답하여 상대적으로 여성의 스포츠언더웨어 착용에 대한 인식이 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

전체 응답자 중 스포츠 언더웨어를 입는 이유에 관해서는 흡한속건과 보정력, 활동성과 부상 방지 등을 위한 기능성을 1위(73%)로 꼽았으며, 운동에 대한 동기부여 등 운동에 도움이 된다는 이유를 택한 비율이 16%로 그 뒤를 이었다. 애슬레저룩 연출 등 패션을 위해 입는다는 비율도 11%로 나타났다.

반대로 스포츠 언더웨어를 입지 않는다고 응답한 참여자들은 그 이유로 ‘몸에 압박이 심하거나 입기 불편해서(41%)’를 가장 큰 이유로 뽑았다. 이어 ‘일반 언더웨어와의 큰 차이를 못 느끼겠다(27%)’, ‘가격이 비싸서(17%)’, ‘몸매 보정이 되지 않아서(12%)’ 순으로 조사됐다.

엠코르셋의 상품기획 총괄 조혜선 전무는 “남녀 모두 운동 시에는 일상 생활과 달리 격렬한 활동에도 안정적으로 몸을 잡아주고 기능성 소재로 쾌적함을 제공하는 스포츠 전용 언더웨어를 착용하는 것이 건강과 효과적인 운동을 위해 필수적”이라며 “특히 여성의 경우 운동 중 흔들리는 가슴을 안정적으로 잡아주고 서포트 해주는 스포츠 브라를 꼭 착용하는 좋다”고 강조했다.
