데카트론코리아(대표 구정연)가 오늘(21일) 롯데몰 김포공항점 GF층(지하 1층)에 데카트론(DECATHLON) 국내 14번째 매장을 공식 오픈했다. 이번 김포공항점은 하이브리드 콘셉트로, 최근 증가하는 러닝·아웃도어 수요를 반영해 두 카테고리를 중심으로 기획된 점이 특징이다.
신규 매장은 러닝 제품군과 아웃도어 제품군을 절반씩 배치해 균형 있는 구성을 갖췄다. 이와 함께 스키 관련 시즌 제품을 확보해 겨울 스포츠 수요에도 대응한다. 매장 전체에는 약 600여 개 모델이 전개돼 러닝·하이킹 제품을 한 곳에서 비교·경험할 수 있도록 했다. 키 비주얼 역시 아웃도어와 러닝 콘셉트를 결합해 매장의 방향성을 강조했다.
이번 김포공항점의 주력 제품으로는 데카트론 자체 브랜드인 킵런(Kiprun, 러닝)과 퀘차(Quechua, 아웃도어) 제품들이 눈에 띈다. 러닝 전문 브랜드 ‘킵런(Kiprun)’의 대표 인기 러닝화 모델 KD900X2는 카본 플레이트를 적용한 러닝화로, 합리적인 가격대를 바탕으로 입문용 카본화 시장에서 높은 인기를 이어가고 있다. 러닝 입문자를 위한 이처럼 100 라인부터 퍼포먼스 강화 모델인 500·900 라인까지 수준별로 구성해 선택 폭을 넓혔다.
겨울 시즌에 특히 수요가 높은 러닝 액세서리도 주력 상품군이다. 전량 품절 상태였던 ‘에볼루티브 장갑(손모아 장갑)’은 이번 매장에 한해 재고가 확보돼 소비자 관심이 집중되고 있다. 열 반사 안감을 적용해 보온성을 높였으며, 손가락 장갑과 손모아 장갑을 겸용할 수 있도록 설계된 제품이다. 귀도리 헤어밴드는 8,900원의 가격대로 겨울 러닝 필수품으로 자리 잡으며 판매 2위를 기록 중이다.
아웃도어 부문 퀘차(Quechua)에서는 다운재킷의 경쟁력이 두드러진다. 대표 제품인 백패킹 후드 자켓은 다운 90% 충전재, 800필파워라는 고스펙을 적용하고도 18만 9,000원으로 구성돼 타 브랜드 50~60만 원대와 비교해 높은 가성비를 보여준다. 데카트론의 아웃도어 제품은 프랑스 샤모니 R&D 센터에서 설계되어 기능성·디테일 면에서 완성도가 높다는 평가도 이어지고 있다. 스키복 라인 역시 렌털 비용이 부담되는 초심자를 위해 접근성 높은 가격대의 기본 구성을 마련했다.
지역 기반 스포츠 클래스 운영, 8회차 전석 마감
롯데몰 김포공항점은 지역 내 높은 스포츠 참여율을 고려해 러닝, 트레일 러닝, 하이킹 클래스 등 세 가지의 스포츠 프로그램을 운영한다. 신규 오픈 기념으로 구성된 총 8회차 클래스는 이미 전석 마감된 상태로, 예상보다 빠른 속도로 모집이 완료돼 내부에서도 높은 관심을 확인했다.
일반 러닝 클래스는 25명 정원으로 롯데몰과 호텔 주변의 1.6km 러닝 코스를 활용한다. 트레일 러닝과 하이킹은 안전을 고려해 15명 정원으로 구성했다. 트레일 러닝은 매장 인근의 1~2km 산길에서, 하이킹은 대중교통으로 약 15분 이동 가능한 계양산에서 진행된다. 모든 클래스에는 전문 코치와 산행 전문가가 참여해 프로그램의 완성도를 높였다. 오픈 이벤트 클래스는 오늘(21일)부터 12월 7일까지 운영한 다음 향후 정규 프로그램으로 확대할 계획이다.
김포공항점 운영은 젊고 활동적인 인재를 중심으로 구성됐다. 김태현 점장은 강남점에서 오랜 경험을 쌓아 데카트론코리아 핵심 인재로 평가된 내부 직원으로, 서울 주요 거점 중 하나인 김포공항점의 운영을 맡게 됐다. 김 점장과 함께 스포츠를 즐기는 젊은 직원들을 배치해 매장 분위기를 더욱 활기차고 에너지 넘치게 만들 계획이다. 데카트론코리아는 오는 12월 5일 파주시 운정지구에 들어서는 스타필드빌리지에 15호점 오픈을 앞두고 있다.
