서울디자인재단(대표이사 최경란)은 글로벌 역량을 입증 받은 한국 디자이너 10인으로 구성된 ‘텐소울(Seoul’s 10Soul)’ 팝업스토어를 2월 25일부터 약 한달 간 프랑스 파리의 유명백화점 갤러리 라파예트(Galeries Lafayette)에서 성공적인 오프닝행사와 함께 문을 열었다고 밝혔다.
2019년 텐소울은 작년에 개최된 18FW, 19SS 서울패션위크에 참여한 브랜드 중 참석한 바이어와 패션관계자들의 투표를 통해 선정되었으며 2018서울패션위크 베스트 디자이너상을 수상한 뮌(Munn)의 한현민을 비롯하여, 부리(BOURIE) 조은혜, 디앤티도트(D-ANTIDOTE) 박환성, 한철리(HAN CHUL LEE) 이한철, 푸시버튼(PUSH BUTTON) 박승건, YCH 윤춘호, 유저(YOUSER) 이무열, 김민희 뿐 아니라 이번 2019년부터 새로 합류한 비스퍽(BESFXXK) 김보나, 임재혁, 막시제이(MAXXIJ) 이재형, 모호(MOHO) 이규호를 포함 총 10개의 브랜드들이 참여하게 되었다.
이번 텐소울 팝업스토어가 열리는 파리 갤러리 라파예트는 100년의 역사와 전통을 자랑하는 파리 최고의 유서 깊은 백화점인 동시에 파리 패션계에서 가장 영향력 있는 백화점 중 하나다. 세계 4대 패션위크 중 하나인 파리패션위크 기간에 파리를 방문하는 세계 각지의 프레스, 패션 관계자 및 바이어들에게 한국 디자이너의 저력을 보여주기 위해 텐소울 팝업스토어를 진행한다.
특히, 라파예트 백화점 내에서도 가장 주목도가 높고 유동인구가 많은 장소에서 팝업스토어를 진행함과 동시에 백화점 1층 특별 윈도우 전시도 함께 진행되어 해외 소비자를 대상으로도 한국의 패션을 널리 알릴 수 있게 되었다.
파리 현지 시각 27일 오후 5시 오프닝 파티를 진행했으며 약 두시간 동안 진행된 행사에서는 세계적인 패션 아이콘 다이앤 퍼넷 뿐 아니라 파리 및 전 세계의 패션계 관계자와 바이어 등 총 200여명이 참석하며 성공적인 오프닝을 개최했다.
갤러리 라파예트의 크리에이티브 디렉터 알릭스 모라비토(Alix Morabito)는 “전 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 K-FASHION을 소개하기 위해 서울패션위크의 텐소울 팝업스토어를 개최하게 되었는데 팝업스토어 오프닝부터 이렇게 뜨거운 반응은 기대 이상이다.

이번 갤러리 라파예트 백화점에서는 팝업스토어에서 판매하는 국내 디자이너 10개 브랜드의 모든 상품을 선사입(Buying)하여 화제가 되었으며 팝업스토어 인테리어뿐 아니라 백화점 윈도우 전시 기획에도 힘써 서울패션위크를 소개하고 텐소울을 알리는데 적극적이었다는 평이다.
