건강기능식품 브랜드 푸드올로지(대표 박정하)가 글로벌 뷰티 플랫폼 큐텐재팬(Qoo10 Japan)의 2024년 2분기 메가와리(메가할인)서 푸드 카테고리 1위를 차지하며 일본 소비자들에게 탄탄한 브랜드 파워를 입증했다.
‘메가와리’는 큐텐에서 1년에 4차례 걸쳐 진행하는 분기별 대규모 프로모션으로 시작과 동시에 화제를 모으는 일본의 대표적인 할인행사다.

푸드올로지의 대표 제품 ‘콜레올로지 60정’이 1만 1천 400개가 넘는 판매고를 올렸으며, ‘컷팅젤리’가 8천 700개 이상 판매됐다. 이 외 세트제품 누적 판매량 또한 3천 개 이상을 기록하면서 푸드올로지의 다양한 제품의 선전이 이어졌다.
큐텐재팬 진출 1년만에 400%의 성장세를 기록한 푸드올로지는 하반기엔 입점 제품 수 확대 및 오프라인 채널 확장을 통해 일본 시장 공략을 본격화할 예정이다.
푸드올로지 관계자는 “최근 일본 내에서 K뷰티 열풍이 이어지고 있는 가운데 이너뷰티, 다이어트 등 건강기능식품으로 관심이 확장되면서 푸드올로지를 찾는 일본 소비자가 늘어나고 있다”라며 “하반기에는 판매채널을 오프라인으로 확장하며 일본 시장 내 푸드올로지의 영향력을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다”라고 말했다.
