‘롯데’ 헬스케어 사업 청산, 향후 시니어타운ㆍ푸드테크 사업 추진

롯데헬스케어가 24일 임시 주주총회 열어 법인 청산을 결의하고, 내년 상반기 중 절차를 마무리할 계획이다. 롯데헬스케어는 2022년 4월 롯데지주로부터 700억원을 출자 받아 법인을 설립해 사업을 개시한 지 3년 여 만에 사업을 종료한다.

롯데는 헬스케어 시장 환경과 사업 방향성에 대해 면밀히 검토한 후 개인맞춤형 디지털 헬스케어 사업은 지속성장하기 어렵다고 판단, 사업 방향을 선회하기로 결정했다. 향후 시니어타운ㆍ푸드테크 등 분야에서 그룹의 헬스케어 사업을 추진할 계획이다.

대표적인 사업은 호텔롯데의 시니어 레지던스 브랜드 ‘VL(Vitality & Liberty)’이다. VL은 지난 50년간 축적한 롯데호텔 서비스에 기반한 도심형 실버 라이프스타일을 제시한다. 호텔롯데는 내년 1월 ‘VL 라우어(부산 기장)’, 10월에는 ‘VL 르웨스트(서울 마곡)’ 운영을 시작할 예정이다.

한편, 롯데는 롯데헬스케어 직원들의 직무 역량을 고려해 그룹 계열사 유관 부서로 이동할 수 있는 기회를 제공, 이미 상당수 직원이 이동을 마쳤고 추가적인 계열사 이동도 추진 중이다.
