한국패션협회(회장 성래은)가 회원사 간 실질적인 비즈니스 연결고리 강화에 나섰다. 협회는 최근 서울 강남구 섬유센터에서 신규 회원사를 대상으로 한 제2차 간담회를 개최하며, 단순한 친목 도모를 넘어선 회원사 간의 협력 강화에 나섰다.
이번 간담회는 지난 2월 초 진행된 1차 행사에 이은 올해 두 번째 정기 모임이다. 협회는 최근 패션 브랜드뿐만 아니라 IT 기반의 패션 테크, 고기능성 소재 기업, 유통 플랫폼 등 다양한 기업들이 신규 회원사로 참여함에 따라, 이들의 조기 안착과 협력 지점 발굴을 돕기 위해 이번 자리를 마련했다.
패션 산업은 과거 제조와 판매라는 단순 구조에서 벗어나 콘텐츠, 데이터, 친환경 소재 기술이 결합한 복합 산업으로 진화하고 있다. 이에 따라 협회는 브랜드와 디자이너, 제조 인프라, 그리고 리테일 테크 기업들이 한자리에서 만나 시너지를 낼 수 있도록 네트워킹 모임을 정례화한다는 방침이다. 특히 원단 공급부터 완제품 생산, 소비자 유통으로 이어지는 ‘스트림(Stream)’ 간의 결속력을 높여 글로벌 공급망 변화에 유연하게 대응하겠다는 취지다.
성래은 한국패션협회 회장은 이번 행사에서 회원사 간담회가 일회성 교류를 넘어 인사이트를 공유하는 실질적인 소통의 장이 되어야 함을 강조했다. 성 회장은 “패션산업은 다양한 업종을 아우르는 융합 산업인 만큼, 회원사 간 협력을 강화해 산업 전체의 발전을 도모하는 발판을 만들겠다”고 설명했다.
업계 관계자는 “최근 패션 기업들은 제품력만큼이나 물류 최적화, 고객 데이터 분석 역량, 디지털 전환 등을 필요로 한다”며 “협회가 신규 회원사들의 가교 역할을 위한 자리를 마련한 것은 개별 기업이 해결하기 어려운 다양한 문제와 필요로 하는 부분을 네트워킹을 통해 격차를 줄여준다는 점에서 또 다른 의미가 있다”고 분석했다.
향후 협회는 소재 등 타 스트림과의 협력을 더욱 구체화하고, 회원사들이 보유한 유무형의 자산을 연결해 공동 마케팅이나 기술 제휴가 일어날 수 있도록 지원할 계획이다. 이번 행사를 기점으로 협회 내 커뮤니티가 활성화되면, 국내 패션 기업들의 협력 강화는 물론 상생 중심의 리테일 환경 개선에도 힘이 될 전망이다.
