무신사(대표 조만호 박준모)가 다음달 서울 강남에 오프라인 패션 편집숍 ‘무신사 스토어 강남’을 새롭게 선보인다.
무신사는 오는 8월 1일 서울 서초구에 무신사 스토어 강남을 공식 오픈한다. 무신사 스토어 강남은 신논현역에서 도보로 2분 거리 강남대로에 위치하고 있으며, 지하 1층부터 지상 2층까지 1,170m²(약 354평) 규모로 조성된다.
무신사 스토어 강남은 지난해 9월 문을 연 ‘무신사 스토어 성수@대림창고’ 이후 일년 만에 오픈하는 무신사의 네 번째 오프라인 매장이다. 무신사는 앞서 2023년 하반기에 100여 개가 넘는 국내 중소 디자이너 브랜드를 오프라인 공간에서 만날 수 있는 ‘무신사 스토어 대구’와 ‘무신사 스토어 홍대’를 연달아 오픈하며 오프라인 편집숍 시장에도 진출했다. 올해 상반기에 3개 매장의 누적 방문자 수는 200만 명에 달할 만큼 무신사 스토어는 각 지역을 대표하는 패션 편집숍으로 자리매김했다.
무신사가 신규 오프라인 매장 입지로 강남을 선택한 배경에는 사무실, 학원 등이 밀집해 있어 2030세대 유동 인구가 많은 점이 주효했다. 또한 외국인 관광객 유입이 활발한 대표적인 대형 상권이라는 점이 고려했다. 특히 무신사는 지난 2022년부터 강남대로 인근에 ‘무신사 스탠다드 강남점’을 오픈한 이후 신규 고객이 대폭 늘면서 브랜드 인지도와 매출 확대의 가능성을 확인했다.
무신사 스토어 강남에는 130여개 인기 패션·잡화 브랜드가 입점한다. 대표적으로 나이스고스트클럽, 더콜디스트모먼트, 마조네, 미세키서울, 아캄, 에이이에이이, 파이시스, 허그유어스킨 등 국내 디자이너 브랜드가 입점한다. 아식스, 푸마, 크록스 등 글로벌 브랜드의 화제성과 희소성있는 스니커즈도 선보인다. 또한 나이키와 아디다스는 숍인숍(shop-in-shop) 브랜드로 입점해 인기 상품을 폭넓게 선보일 계획이다.
무신사 관계자는 “무신사 스토어는 국내 패션 편집샵 중 유일하게 온·오프라인을 통합한 쇼핑 경험과 혜택을 제공해 높은 호응을 얻고 있다”라며, “성수와 홍대 등 주요 상권에서 매장을 운영하며 쌓은 노하우를 바탕으로 무신사 스토어 강남 또한 글로벌 고객들에게 주목받는 K-패션 대표 편집숍으로 자리매김할 것으로 기대한다”라고 말했다.
