국내 최초의 ‘오프-프라이스(Off-Price)’ 뷰티 아울렛 브랜드 ‘오프뷰티(Off-Beauty)’가 론칭 5개월 만에 가파른 성장세를 보여 유통업계와 예비 창업자들의 주목을 받고 있다. 화장품 시장의 과잉 재고를 소진하는 새로운 유통 채널로 떠오르면서 브랜드사의 재고 부담 해소와 소비자 가격 혜택이라는 두 마리 토끼를 동시에 잡는 ‘상생 모델’로 평가받는다.
큐앤드비인터내셔날(대표 박민규)가 전개하는 오프뷰티(OFF BEAUTY)는 국내 최초 도심형 뷰티 아울렛으로, 초저가 화장품부터 명품까지 다양한 뷰티 제품을 한 곳에서 판매하는 창고형 편집숍이다. 지난 5월 23일 1호점 광장점 오픈을 시작으로 본격 사업을 전개했다. 10월 중순 현재 약 20개 매장을 운영하는 가운데, 연말까지 50개 매장 확장을 목표로 하고 있다. 현재 가맹 문의가 쇄도하는 상황을 고려하면 2개월 내 목표 달성이 충분히 가능할 것으로 전망된다.

오프뷰티는 전체 약 5,000개의 상품(SKU)군을 확보해 매장 크기에 따라 1,500~2,000개 제품을 선별해 진열한다. 제품 구성을 보면 뷰티 제품이 90%, 건강기능식품과 음료가 10%다. 뷰티 제품은 스킨케어 70~80%, 메이크업 20~30%로 구성돼 있어, 화장품을 찾는 고객들의 수요를 충분히 충족할 수 있다.
