대구광역시가 주최하고 대구경북패션사업협동조합(이사장 정순식)이 주관하는 2024 제35회 대구 컬렉션이 10월31∼11월1일까지 2일간의 일정으로 화려한 막을 올렸다.
1989년 첫 회를 시작으로 국내 최장수 디자이너 컬렉션의 권위와 전통을 이어오고 있는 대구패션산업의 대표적인 이번 행사는 ‘스텝 투 퓨쳐 (Step To Future)‘의 미래적인 발전방향 콘셉트를 주제로 지역을 대표하는 남희컬렉션(남희), 구정일꾸띠르(구정일), CHOIBOKO(최복호)등 디자이너들의 단독쇼와 루부(구화빈), DOBB(복간지), MWM(김민석), POUM(장재영)등의 신진 디자이너들의 연합쇼로 구성되고 서울 디자이너 DOUCAN(최충훈)이 초청되어 8개사의 디자이너가 참가하여 총 6회의 런웨이로 펼쳐진다.
오늘 개막 첫날 ’남희컬렉션‘(남희)의 오프닝쇼에는 대구광역시 홍준표시장, 대구시의회 경제환경위원회를 비롯하여 섬유패션기관 및 업계, 마케팅 관계자 등이 대거 참석하여 대구패션축제인 대구 컬렉션의 개막을 축하했다.
바이어로 참관한 유명백화점 마케팅담당자는 “대구를 기반으로 한 패션 디자이너들의 역량과 성장을 직접 볼 수 있는 기회가 되어 매우 인상적이었고 앞으로 K-패션을 이끌어갈 지역 디자이너들과의 팝업 마케팅을 전개하고 싶다.”는 기대감을 전했다.
행사장 1층 로비에서는 수성여성클럽에서 진행하는 핸드메이드 창업마켓인 ‘수성여성아트마켓‘이 운영되어 30여개의 셀러들이 패브릭, 패션소품, 도예 등을 시민들에게 선보이고 있다.
