무신사, '개인화 추천 시스템' 고도화로 구매 전환율 3배↑

무신사(대표 조만호 박준모)가 개인화 추천 시스템을 고도화하고 멀티 스토어로 개편한 결과 스토어에 방문한 고객의 구매 전환율이 3배 가까이 증가하며 거래액 상승으로 이어졌다.

지난 8월 무신사는 고객의 편의성을 확대하기 위해 사용자 환경(UI)과 사용자 경험(UX)을 대폭 개선했다. 특히 뷰티, 플레이어, 아울렛, 부티크, 스니커즈, 키즈 등 빠르게 성장하는 6개 카테고리 특성과 고객 및 입점 브랜드의 니즈를 고려해 홈 화면을 멀티 스토어 형태로 개편했다. 또한 고객에게 최적화된 쇼핑 경험을 제공하기 위해 AI 추천 기술을 바탕으로 개인화 영역을 고도화했다.

UX·UI 개편 효과로 9월부터 12월까지 3개월간 무신사 스토어 홈에서 상품 구매를 위해 상세 페이지를 확인한 조회수는 지난해 같은 기간 대비 157% 상승했다. 이 중 뷰티 상품 조회수는 2.7배 이상 증가했고, 뷰티 상품의 상세 페이지를 조회한 사용자 수도 116% 이상 늘어났다. 멀티스토어 개편 효과로 무신사 뷰티 브랜드와 상품에 관심을 보인 고객이 대폭 증가한 셈이다.

AI 추천 기술을 고도화한 효과도 긍정적으로 나타났다. 무신사 스토어 추천판에서 제안한 상품을 구매한 고객 수가 전년 대비 180% 이상 증가하면서 거래액은 4배 가까이 늘었다. 고객 취향과 니즈에 맞는 브랜드와 상품을 소개하는 추천 적중률이 높아진 결과다. 특히 개인화 추천 영역에서 구매 전환율이 약 3배 증가했는데, 이는 거래액이 전년보다 308% 이상 증가하는데 크게 기여했다.

무신사 관계자는 “개인화 추천 서비스를 확대하면서 1억 5천만 건의 방대한 패션 데이터를 기반으로 개편 이전 대비 50배가 넘는 수준으로 AI 추천 시나리오를 만들었다”라며 “앞으로도 다양한 고객의 취향과 니즈에 맞는 최적의 브랜드와 상품을 제안할 수 있도록 개인화 추천 영역을 더욱 고도화해 나갈 것”이라고 설명했다.
