와디즈(대표 신혜성)가 지난 10월 13일부터 16일까지 홍콩 컨벤션센터에서 열린 홍콩 전자박람회(HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2025)에 한국 대표 연사로 참여해 “한국을 통한 시장 검증 및 아시아 시장 확대” 전략을 공유했다.
제45회를 맞은 올해 행사는 ‘세계를 선도하는 전자 시장(World’s Leading Electronics Marketplace)’을 주제로 AI & 로보틱스, 실버 이코노미, 디지털 엔터테인먼트 등 미래 수요 분야의 제품과 솔루션을 한데 모았다.
주최 측에 따르면 올해는 20개국 3천여 전시 업체와 해외 유통사·리테일러로 구성된 바이어 120개 팀이 현장을 찾으며, 대규모 상담·주문·파트너십 논의가 이어질 전망이다.
연사로 나선 와디즈 해외사업 총괄 장한얼 팀장은 ‘이커머스 트렌드 인 아시아’ 세션에서 와디즈 펀딩으로 한국에서 제품의 시장성을 검증하고 이를 바탕으로, 아시아로 확장하는 크라우드펀딩 기반 글로벌 진출 전략을 발표했다.
이 세션에는 징동(JD), 페피타그룹, 라자다 등 주요 글로벌 플랫폼 관계자도 발표자로 참여해 아시아 전자상거래 트렌드와 크로스보더 전략을 논의했다.
장한얼 팀장은 “지금 수요의 중심은 아시아에 있다”며 “한국에서 펀딩 데이터를 먼저 검증하고, AI 번역·글로벌 결제·해외 배송 인프라를 통해 리스크를 낮춰 아시아로 확장할 수 있다”고 설명했다. 이어 “와디즈는 크라우드펀딩 기반 런치패드로서 메이커가 더 빨리, 더 정확하게 글로벌 고객을 만나도록 돕고 있다”고 강조했다.
한편 와디즈는 지난 5월 글로벌 서비스를 정식 론칭해 ‘K-펀딩’을 전 세계 200개국 고객에게 선보이고 있다. AI 기반 번역, 해외 배송 파트너 매칭, 글로벌 타깃 광고 지원 등을 통해 해외 진출 장벽을 낮추고 있으며, 현재까지 약 370건의 글로벌 프로젝트가 진행됐다. 누적으로 115개국에서 1만4천여 명이 해외 회원으로 가입했다.
9월 말에는 해외 메이커의 직접 개설·운영을 지원하도록 플랫폼을 업데이트 했다. 이제 상세페이지를 한국어·영어·일본어로 바로 작성할 수 있고, 거래 통화 및 운영 시간도 메이커 국가 기준으로 설정된다. 이에 따라 더 많은 해외 브랜드가 와디즈 글로벌로 손쉽게 시장에 진입할 수 있게 됐다.
