스타벅스, 청년 건강·자립 지원 위한 ‘커뮤니티 스토어’ 11호점 오픈

스타벅스 코리아(대표이사 손정현)가 커뮤니티 스토어 11주년을 기념해 고대안암병원점을 커뮤니티 스토어 11호점으로 전환한다. 커뮤니티 스토어는 스타벅스 코리아가 매장 수익금 일부를 지역사회에 환원하는 이익공유형 매장으로, 국내에서는 2014년 대학로점이 처음 문을 열었다.

커뮤니티 스토어 11호점은 고려대학교 안암병원(이하 고대안암병원) 내 위치한 만큼 ‘청년 건강 자립 지원’을 테마로 운영할 예정이다. 이를 위해 스타벅스와 고대안암병원은 11월 5일, 스타벅스 고대안암병원점에서 지역사회 청년 건강 증진을 위한 사회적 가치 실현 업무협약을 체결했다. 업무협약식은 스타벅스 손정현 대표이사, 고대안암병원 이성우 진료부원장을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석했다.이번 커뮤니티 스토어 11호점 오픈은 양사가 오랜 기간 쌓아온 협력의 결실이라는 점에서 더욱 의미가 깊다. 스타벅스는 지난 2022년부터 고대안암병원과 경제적 어려움을 겪는 청년 대상 의료비 지원 사업을 전개해 왔다. 이러한 경험을 기반으로 커뮤니티 스토어 11호점에서는 보다 폭 넓은 청년층을 대상으로 경제적·신체적·정서적 등 맞춤형 지원 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.

고대안암병원점은 커뮤니티 스토어로서 판매되는 모든 품목당 300원의 금액을 적립해 3년간 총 3억 원 규모의 기금을 조성할 계획이다. 해당 기금은 ’힐링 라운지’ 조성 및 정서회복 프로그램 운영, 취약 청년 심리치료 지원, 취약 청년 치료비 지원, 청년 대상 이동진료 및 건강검진 프로그램 운영 등에 사용된다.

먼저 병원 내에 조성될 ‘스타벅스 별빛 힐링 라운지’에서는 청년을 위한 힐링토크콘서트 등 다양한 정서회복 프로그램을 진행할 계획이다. 취약계층 청년 또는 가족을 대상으로는 스트레스 선별 검사 및 심리치료를 실시하고, 필요에 따라 심리 상담도 제공한다. 

실질적인 지원에도 힘쓴다. 저소득층 청년 등 경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 경우 치료비 부담을 덜어주는 한편, 취약계층 청년의 사회적 자립을 위해 스타벅스 바리스타 교육 제공 및 채용 연계도 추진한다.

고대안암병원 인근 대학을 찾아가는 이동 진료 봉사도 진행한다. 연간 약 200명의 대학생에게 건강상담, 혈액검사, 골밀도검사 등을 제공해 직접적인 건강 관리를 돕는다. 

한편, 스타벅스는 커뮤니티 스토어를 운영하며 청년인재 양성, 장애인식 개선, 전통시장 상생, 국가 유공자 후손 지원, 환경 보호 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어왔다. 현재까지 누적 상생기금은 60억 원에 달한다.

고대안암병원 이성우 진료부원장은 “스타벅스 커뮤니티 스토어를 통해 청년들이 건강하게 자립할 수 있는 기반을 만드는데 함께 할 수 있게 돼 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “고려대학교 안암병원이 가진 전문성을 바탕으로 지역사회 청년들의 몸과 마음을 돌보며 의료기관으로서 사회적 역할을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

스타벅스 손정현 대표이사는 “커뮤니티 스토어 11호점은 스타벅스 사회공헌 테마인 ‘청년’과 의료기관 전문 분야인 ‘의료 및 건강’이 결합해 탄생한 의미 있는 공간”이라며, “고객들이 커뮤니티 스토어를 통해 기부에 동참하고, 이를 사회에 환원하는 선순환 구조를 지속적으로 만들어 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
