현대백화점그룹 계열 종합식품기업 현대그린푸드는 케어푸드 전문 브랜드 ‘그리팅(Greating)’을 런칭하고, B2C 판매에 나선다고 17일 밝혔다.
‘그리팅’은 일반적인 한 끼 식사보다 저당식이나 칼로리 밸런스식을 원하는 소비자들이 음식을 먹으면서도 일상생활에 필요한 영양을 섭취할 수 있도록 설계된 맞춤형 건강식단 브랜드다. ‘그리팅’이란 브랜드명은 ‘위대한’이란 뜻의 ‘Great’와 ‘먹거리’를 일컫는 ‘Eating’의 합성어로, 위대한 먹거리를 지향한다는 의미가 담겨 있다.
박주연 현대그린푸드 그리팅사업담당(상무)은 “‘그리팅’은 평소에도 건강 관리에 관심이 많고 유지하려는 사람들을 위한 ‘헬스케어푸드(종합 건강식)’이라고 볼 수 있다”며 “조리한 다음날 새벽에 집으로 직접 배송해주는 신선한 음식을 제공한다”고 설명했다.
새로 선보이는 ‘그리팅’은 각 식단별로 당분 또는 염분을 조절하면서도, 시중 음식의 맛을 유지한 것이 특징이다. 시중에 출시된 건강식단의 경우, 단순히 간장ㆍ드레싱 등 소스를 줄이다보니 염도와 당도는 낮춘 반면 맛은 심심하다는 평이 많았다.
이런 단점을 보완한 게 ‘그리팅’이다. ‘그리팅’의 모든 음식에는 구기자 간장 소스, 당귀 유채유, 아보카도 오일 드레싱 등 자체 개발한 소스 71종을 사용했다. 소스에는 L-글루타민산나트륨ㆍ착향료ㆍ카라멜색소 등을 빼고 채소나 고기로 낸 육수를 사용해 깊은 맛을 극대화했으며, 설탕도 별도로 넣지 않았다.
여기에 영양소를 고루 갖추고, 건강에 좋은 특이 식재료로 알려진 땅콩새싹ㆍ보리순ㆍ꾸지뽕ㆍ돼지감자 등 국내에서 보기 힘든 150여 종의 건강 식재료도 발굴, 모든 식단에 한 가지 이상 활용했다.
현대그린푸드는 백화점 식품관 운영과 아산병원ㆍ아주대병원 등 환자식(급식) 제공 노하우를 바탕으로 597종의 ‘그리팅 반찬 레시피’도 개발했다. 또한 이를 활용해 당을 낮춘 ‘저당식단’, 샐러드 위주로 구성된 ‘라이트식단’, 균형 잡힌 영양을 갖춘 ‘웰니스식단’ 등 72종의 건강식단도 구성했다. 식단은 나트륨 함량과 칼로리, 그리고 3대 필수 영양소(탄수화물ㆍ단백질ㆍ지방)를 각각 목적에 맞는 비율로 설계했다.
현대그린푸드는 오는 18일 전용 온라인몰인 ‘그리팅몰’ 오픈을 시작으로 B2C 판매에 본격 나선다. 그리팅몰은 소비자들이 건강식단을 정기구독 할 수 있는 ‘케어식단’과 간편건강식ㆍ반찬ㆍ건강 주스ㆍ소스 등을 구매할 수 있는 ‘건강마켓’ 등 두 가지 코너로 구성해 운영될 예정이다.
특히, ‘케어식단’은 정기 구독 서비스 형태로 운영된다. 고객이 저당식단ㆍ라이트식단ㆍ웰니스식단 등 세 가지 건강식단 중 원하는 식단을 선택하면, 택배를 통해 고객 집으로 정기 배송해주는 시스템이다. 고객이 식단을 선택하면 메뉴와 배송일, 배송 방법(일반택배ㆍ새벽배송)을 직접 지정할 수 있고, 하루에 몇 끼를 먹을 지 또한 몇 주간 이용할 지 등을 직접 선택할 수 있는 것이다.

현대그린푸드는 아울러 올해 안에 기업체의 직원식당에 적용 가능한 ‘그리팅 전용 코너’를 선보이는 등 B2B(기업 간 거래) 사업도 확대한다는 계획이다. 이밖에 직원식당 시설이 없는 기업들을 대상으로 한 ‘건강식 배달 서비스’도 검토하고 있다.
현대그린푸드가 ‘케어푸드’ 사업 확장에 본격 나서는 건 케어푸드 시장이 급성장하고 있기 때문이다. 올해 케어푸드 시장 규모는 2조원대로 추정되는데, 지난 2011년 5104억(한국농수산식품유통공사 집계)과 비교하면 4배 가까이 커졌다.

현대그린푸드는 이런 흐름을 미리 인지하고 5년전부터 ‘케어푸드’를 차세대 성장동력의 하나로 정해 사업을 준비해 왔다. 지난 2016년부터 연화식 개발에 나선 후, 다음해 국내 최초로 B2C 연화식 브랜드(그리팅 소프트)를 론칭했다. 지난 2018년엔 1,300여 명의 조리사와 700여 명의 영양사 가운데 80여 명을 선발해 케어푸드 연구소인 ‘그리팅 랩(LAB)’을 설립하기도 했다. 현재 서울아산병원, 하나로의료재단 등 전문 의료 기관과 함께 ‘그리팅’이 인체에 미치는 효과에 대해서 공동 연구를 진행하고 있다.
뿐만 아니라 833억원을 투자해 설립한 ‘스마트푸드센터(경기도 성남시 소재)’에 연화식 생산 설비를 비롯해 그리팅 소스만을 전문적으로 생산하는 ‘소스 개발실’ 등의 케어푸드 전문 생산 시설도 확충했다. 여기에 ‘터널식 급속 냉각기’, ‘전처리 야채 포장기’, ‘육류 진공 포장기’ 등 HMR과 밀키트 생산에 필요한 설비들도 대거 들여왔다.
현대그린푸드는 특히, ‘그리팅’을 활용한 ‘종합 건강관리(헬스케어)’ 서비스도 내놓을 방침이다. 그 첫 단계로, 18일부터 전세계 5000만명이 이용하는 건강관리 프로그램을 운영하는 ‘눔(NOOM)코리아’와 손잡고, 식단 관리와 운동요법을 병행하는 헬스케어 서비스를 선보인다. ‘그리팅’ 저당 식단을 구매한 고객은 식단과 함께 임상 영양사, 건강운동관리사 등 ‘눔코리아’의 헬스케어 전문가가 제공하는 ‘1대 1 건강관리 코칭’ 서비스를 제공받게 된다.
