스마트학생복(대표 윤경석)이 10대 청소년들을 대상으로 진행한 ‘명품 등 소비 실태’ 설문조사의 결과를 발표했다.
이번 설문조사는 청소년들의 소비문화에 대해 함께 알아보고 공감대를 형성하고자 진행됐다. 12월 1일부터 2주 동안 스마트학생복 공식 SNS 채널을 통해 총 783명의 청소년들이 설문에 참여했으며 한 해 동안 어디에 가장 많이 소비했는지, 구매를 결정할 때 어떤 점을 중요하게 생각하는지, 명품을 구매하는 이유는 무엇인지 등의 질문에 자유롭게 의견을 표시했다.
‘2021년 한 해 동안 어디에 가장 많이 소비했는지’에 대한 질문에 학생들은 외식ㆍ간식 등 식비(57.1%, 447명), 의류ㆍ화장품 등 쇼핑(17.1%, 134명), 책ㆍ학용품 등 학업 관련 소비(8.8%, 69명), 취미생활(8.7%, 68명), 교통비(6.9%, 54명), 기타(1.4%, 11명)라고 응답했다.
‘구매를 결정할 때 어떤 점을 가장 중요하게 생각하는지’에 대한 질문에는 가격(32.8%, 257명), 실용성(26.8%, 210명), 디자인(14.7%, 115명), 브랜드(10.2%, 80명), 리뷰ㆍ후기(8.4%, 66명), 트렌드(6.3%, 49명), 기타(0.8%, 6명)라고 응답했다.
‘구매를 결정할 때 가장 영향을 많이 받는 것은 무엇인지’에 대한 질문에는 나의 과거 경험(37.3%, 292명), 인플루언서, 유튜버 등의 추천(24%, 188명), 친구 및 지인의 추천(22.9%, 179명), SNS 광고(5.6%, 44명), 아이돌, 배우 등 연예인의 사용(5.6%, 44명), 기타(4.6%, 36명)라고 응답했다.
‘명품(액세서리, 의류, 신발 등)을 구매해 본 적 있는지’에 대한 질문에는 없다(54%, 423명), 있다(46%, 360명)라고 응답했다.
명품을 구매한 적이 있는 학생들을 대상으로 한 ‘명품을 구매하는 이유는 무엇인지’에 대한 질문에는 유명인(연예인, 인플루언서 등)이 사용하는 것을 보고 예뻐서(28.9%, 104명), 친구들이 가지고 있으니까 소외되기 싫어서(28.6%, 103명), 평소 명품에 관심이 많아서(23.3%, 84명), 명품인 것을 의식하지 않고 구매(19.1%, 69명) 라고 응답했다.
‘학생들의 명품 구매에 대해 어떻게 생각하는지’에 대한 질문에는 여유가 있다면 구매하는 것은 괜찮다고 생각한다(52.5%, 411명), 명품 구매는 과소비라고 생각한다(32.1%, 251명), 명품 구매와 학생인 것은 상관없다(15.1%, 118명), 기타(0.4%, 3명)라고 응답했다.
스마트학생복 관계자는 “학생들의 명품 소비가 사회적으로 문제가 되는 가운데 청소년들의 소비문화에 대해 함께 이야기해 보고 그들의 생각을 알아보고자 설문조사를 진행하게 됐다.”라며, “앞으로도 진솔하고 학생 친화적인 콘텐츠들을 통해 청소년들과 지속적으로 소통을 이어갈 것”이라고 전했다.
